Want to write directly on the big screen in your meeting room? You can — by adding a touch sensor frame to a standard LED video wall. XIV visited a partner’s site to try a working unit hands-on. The key finding: the sensor itself is not an expensive part, so once the LED screen is specified, adding large-format touch is a small step. A touch-enabled LED screen is simply a standard COB (Chip on Board) LED monitor with an infrared touch sensor frame fitted along the bottom edge. The panel itself stays standard, so the extra cost is only the sensor frame.
