本日は、次世代のLED表示技術として注目される「MIP（マイクロLEDインパッケージ）」についてご紹介いたします。
MIP（Micro LED in Package）は、現在主流のCOB（Chip on Board）技術の次世代を担うLED映像表示モジュールです。SMD（表面実装デバイス）の優れた色合わせ性能と、COBの高い信頼性を融合させた革新的なプロダクトとなっています。
MIPの主な特長
1. 優れた映像表現力：黒の表現が非常に豊かで、高いコントラストを実現します。深みのある黒と鮮やかな色彩により、視認性と映像品質が大幅に向上します。

現在の売れ筋は1.2mm〜1.8mmピッチが中心ですが、0.9mmピッチ製品の需要が拡大しつつあります。今後1〜2年以内には、MIP技術を活用した0.4mm〜0.9mmピッチ製品が市場の標準となることが予測されます。MIPは次世代のLEDビジョン市場において、注目すべき重要技術と位置づけられます。

MIP (Micro LED in Package) is an LED display module positioned as the next generation beyond the currently mainstream COB (Chip on Board) technology. It is an innovative product that combines the excellent color-matching capability of SMD (Surface-Mounted Device) with the high reliability of COB.
Key Features of MIP
1. Outstanding visual expression: The reproduction of black is exceptionally rich, achieving high contrast. Deep blacks combined with vivid colors greatly improve visibility and image quality.
2. Wide viewing angle: Images can be viewed clearly even from wide angles, offering the flexibility to suit a variety of installation environments.
3. Low moire characteristics: Moire (interference-pattern noise) that tends to occur during camera shooting is significantly suppressed compared with SMD and COB, providing an advantage in video production and filming applications.
4. Support for high-definition pitches: While COB generally supports pitches down to around 0.4mm, MIP holds the technology to achieve pitches of 0.4mm or finer in the future.

Market Trends and Outlook
The current best-sellers center on 1.2mm–1.8mm pitches, but demand for 0.9mm pitch products is expanding. Within the next one to two years, MIP-based products with 0.4mm–0.9mm pitches are expected to become the market standard. MIP is positioned as an important technology to watch in the next-generation LED display market.
